Non-arctic Region

It includes Northamerica. It has a large quantity of animal´s groups common to palearctic region so that they are used to be connected in only holarctic region. In pilsner zoo there begins only the construction of expositions and breeding of non-arctic animals, an area is reserved for them at the hillside northern from neotropical region below housing quarters Vinice. Only representants of northamerican fauna there are till now Rocky Mountain Goat and Tule wapiti. Except for some birds bred in other parts of area there belongs to nearctic region an interesting rodent - prairie dog, the colony of which you find in the free enclosure of musk ox.
